During the 2010 MDRT Annual Meeting, MDRT members from every continent formed a human assembly line of volunteer food packagers — all with the
common goal of eliminating world hunger.
More than 2,300 volunteers accepted the Million Meal Challenge to measure, fill and package 1 million life-saving meals for children and families
suffering from malnutrition around the globe. The packaged meals of rice, soy, and vegetables contain more than 21 essential vitamins and minerals
that were scientifically formulated to reverse the effects of malnutrition.
MDRT members also contributed more than USD 200,000 to the Million Meal Challenge, which will be used to provide additional nutritious meals for
people in need. You can still accept the Million Meal Challenge —
donate USD 200 online to provide 800
life-saving meals for children and families.
MDRT applauds the selfless efforts of all volunteers who made this event a success — and whose efforts will help thousands of children and families
in need. The Million Meal Challenge was MDRT’s largest-ever volunteer event and is a clear example of how a committed and compassionate group of
people can help make our world a better place.
